Every detail carries the wild, every thread tells a story, and Mori becomes more than clothing – itʼs a gentle way to belong, to the Earth, and to each other.
Weʼre a small family; father, mother, and daughter – bound by a deep love for the jungle.
No matter where life took us, we always found our way back to the forest. The calm, the wildness, the sense of belonging – it became a part of who we are.
Somewhere between misty morning rides, listening to wild calls, and waiting for a glimpse of those majestic stripes, Mori was born. Not as a business idea, but as a feeling – a quiet need to hold on to the raw, grounding energy of the wild.
Though our work lives take us in different directions – Kartik in stock and equity investment, Neha as a graphic artist and illustrator, and Aashna as a sustainability consultant and dancer – one thing remains constant: our hearts belong to the jungle.
We are wildlife enthusiasts at heart, drawn to the calm, the chaos, and the stories the forest holds. That shared love fuels Mori, shaping everything we create – from the clothes we design, to the community we hope to build, to the environment we wish to preserve.
Years of exploring forests taught us something simple – most clothes weren’t made for the wild. We often found ourselves overpacked, uncomfortable, and searching for fabrics that felt natural, breathable, and kind to the earth. Instead, we found noise: synthetics, overdesign, and materials that added to the problem.
So, we created our own.
Clothing that feels right in the wild – and just as effortless back home. Rooted in the forest, gentle on the planet, and calm on the skin. Designed for slow, soulful living – to move with you through every journey, from jungle paths to city streets.
Our Values & Sustainability
Rooted in Nature
The forest doesn’t rush. It doesn’t pretend. It simply is.
Being in nature taught us to live simply, move gently, and give back more than we take. That quiet wisdom guides everything we do – from the materials we choose to the way we create and connect.
Every choice begins with responsibility. With Aashna – our daughter and sustainability consultant – every step is guided by care. From fabrics to finishes, nothing enters Mori without passing through that lens.
We’re not here to greenwash or chase perfection. We’re here to keep learning, questioning, and doing better – one mindful decision at a time.
That care extends to the smallest details:
Our Mission- Returning What We Take
The wild gives endlessly, we give back in return.
We know sustainability isnʼt an endpoint but a circle. Planting trees is one way we give
back – but it doesnʼt stop there. A part of what you take home from Mori also flows back
into conservation projects in India. Weʼre beginning our journey by supporting
[name of project placeholder – e.g., tiger and habitat conservation in Ranthambore
through WWF-India], because protecting the wild is protecting the very home Mori is
rooted in. Itʼs our way of closing the loop, however gently.
This is just the start – we hope to grow our contributions as Mori grows, so that giving
back becomes not an act, but a way of being.
Because stories shouldnʼt end too soon.
When your Mori garment has lived its years with you, send it back. Weʼll mend it with
care and donate it forward, carrying your story into someone elseʼs journey – because
nothing truly belongs in the landfill.
We keep it simple – with tones the forest already knows. Mud browns, leaf greens, sky greys.
Colours that blend in, not stand out – gentle on the eyes, kind to wildlife, and timeless by nature.
A quiet palette that feels calm, grounding, and effortlessly enduring.
All our clothes are crafted from supima and organic cotton – no blends, no synthetics, no plastic.
Soft and breathable, they feel right in the wild and at home.
Gentle on your skin, kind to the Earth, and grown without chemicals or GMO seeds – supporting small-scale farmers across India.
Comfort, movement, and ease – that’s where our design begins.
Nothing tight or trendy, just natural fits that move with you.
Easy to layer, light to wear, and effortless to breathe in – wherever you wander.
Mori began with a family, but it’s grown into something larger. For those who feel the forest calling, this is home.
The Mori Tribe is where we gather – to share stories, meet like-minded souls, and stay connected to the wild. Here, you can record your journeys and reflections in Mori Diaries – your personal log of safaris, sightings, and moments that ground you in nature’s rhythm.
Because the wild isn’t just a place we visit — it’s a part of who we are.
